Whether you’re a sex addict in recovery or dating a sex addict in recovery, this workshop will help you set a clear dating timeline to determine the right fit and assist you in creating a realistic plan for your boundaries while dating.

Led by a sex addiction specialist at Center for Healthy Sex, this workshop is designed to help you gain clarity around navigating secure and healthy relating and creating boundaries to stay in your integrity.

In This Workshop, You Will:

  • Understand Where People Meet Long-Term Romantic Partners
    Review the latest statistics on where people form sexual and romantic partnerships, comparing in-person connection to online platforms and exploring which dating apps have the highest efficacy for long-term relationships.
  • Learn When You’re Truly Ready to Date in Recovery
    Explore key milestones that should ideally be met in sobriety, recovery, and psychotherapy before entering the dating world to ensure emotional safety and stability.
  • Explore the Three Components of a Sober Dating Plan
    Build a structured plan that includes:
    • A timeline for the first three months of dating
    • Essential conversations to have before becoming sexual
    • How to disclose STIs/STDs with clarity and integrity
    • What to share—and what not to share—about your recovery with a new partner
  • Identify Red, Yellow & Green Flags
    Learn how to recognize warning signs in yourself and in potential partners, understand which behaviors indicate that a relationship should end immediately, and which “yellow flags” can be discussed or tolerated while dating.
  • Gain IRL Tips for Sober Dating & Flirting
    Learn practical, real-life skills for initiating connection, building chemistry, and flirting in a way that feels safe, confident, and aligned with your sobriety.
  • Understand Best Practices for Online Dating
    Explore how to set healthy limits with dating apps—especially important for individuals with a history of internet or sex-related compulsivity.
